COLLECTIVE EXPERIMENTS:
In 2008 in New York, the Lehman Brothers crash happened. In response to the self-referentiality that was emerging through this period, 2008 also marked the birth of “the rabbit hole”, a creative collective and community loosely based on the teachings of Lewis Carroll.
Through her character the White Rabbit and co-conspirer, Dr. Don Rodrigues (the Madhatter), the pair would frequent Central Park, Manhattan, dressed in costumes, with an oversized parchment, writing a manifesto about the conditions of wonderland.
Creating collective experiments in her loft in Soho, collaborating with local performers, artists, and philosophers, this then grew into happenings around the city, including the Chelsea Art Museum, Pioneer Works, and onboard a 14 hours time travelling experience around New York.
Deconstruction was a form of rebellion, and gatherings that provoked the discourses of constructed realities were at the essence of these collective experiments.
